Bio
I am a visual artist currently based in Rhode Island, and was raised in the small town of Oakham, Massachusetts. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art at the University of Texas at Austin, with concentrations in painting, lithography, and photography. After college I moved back to New England where I continue to create artwork. I have exhibited at several museums and galleries including New Britain Museum of American Art, New Britain, CT, the Target Gallery, Alexandria, VA and The 4Heads Portal: Governors Island exhibition NYC among others.
Artist Statement
In my work I use imagery from various sources to create art with a mildly absurd social commentary. I like to think of my art as an inoculation for my fellow human beings to help them resist any misguided social norms they encounter, and to help me continue to resist them as well.
